This computer picked up a virus and needed to be reformatted and a clean copy of Windows XP installed. This was done but I do not have the Gateway application disk so had to download all the drivers one at a time.

(Audio, Video, Bios.ect. Now comes the problem. I have downloaded every driver I can find to be able to hook up to the internet but to no avail. In device manager, it does not list a specific modem. The signal comes to the computer through a DSL modem & then through a router. I've had numerous people say just update Windows but that's a little hard when you can't hook up to the internet. (Obvious, or should be) LOL What am I missing here?

This Gateway Profile 5 computer in still giving me a headache. I can't seem to find a driver for the network card on their website or any other one. Yes, I can buy their CD recovery disk but I really would not like to spend all that money for just 1 driver. The had access to all the other drivers I needed but not the network card.
